Training PwDs in AI: People with Disabilities Pioneers in AI

We train People with Disabilities (PwDs) and give them new employment opportunities in a rapidly developing field

We train people with autism, mental disorders, and motor disabilities so that they can contribute to the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems. Following their training, they engage in supported employment in real-world conditions.

What we did:

  • We trained 11 professionals from PwD support organisations in AI and annotation.
  • We trained 27 People with Disabilities in annotation.
  • 25 People with Disabilities worked for ~1,000 hours in data annotation for AI projects.
  • 6 research teams from 2 research institutes have benefited from the work of the annotators.
  • We analyzed the annotation market and the opportunities in the field for People with Disabilities, and produced 2 reports.

Developing AI and Green Skills in SMEs: AI4GreenSME

AI for the Circular Economy: An EU Training Program for SMEs

The project has successfully come to an end, but its outcomes continue to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across Europe. For 2 years, alongside our European partners, we helped SMEs integrate AI into the Circular Economy for a greener, more digital future.

What we achieved:

  • A free multilingual e-learning platform on AI & sustainability.
  • Dozens of SMEs trained — 90% reported tangible benefits in their work.
  • Micro-certifications & Europass accreditation for SME managers.
  • Creation of the AI4Green SME European Network, connecting SMEs, innovation hubs, and training providers.
  • Inspiring best practices across the EU.

Artificial Intelligence… For Teenagers at the Herakleidon Museum

We train middle and high school students in Artificial Intelligence

We continue to educate teenagers on AI at the Herakleidon Museum, constantly updating the educational material and following scientific developments! 1,000+ students were trained in 2025 (7,500+ in total).

Through the program, we answer the following questions:

  • What is and what isn’t AI?
  • Where is the limit of AI?
  • How is it utilized in Science, the Arts, etc.?
  • What’s the responsibility of people? …and much more!

We also:

  • explain AI concepts using games,
  • explain why ethics is important in AI,
  • inspire them to work safely with AI tools.

Accessible websites for EU Projects

We created accessible websites in accordance with the latest legal requirements

Our mission is to make the world more accessible and give people with disabilities free access to information and knowledge.

How we did it:

  • Most website accessibility plugins don’t actually provide accessibility or legal conformity. So, we integrated accessibility into all stages of design — from content definition and design to implementation — in accordance with best practices.
  • We trained our clients on accessibility topics so that they can update their content inclusively.
