AI & Parenting | AI & Labor Market

On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 19:00, SciFY held the 53rd SciFY Academy at Ιmpact Hub Athens (28 Karaiskaki, Αthens). The second event of the “AI & PARENTING” series is on “AI & Labor Market”.

Participation is free and open to everyone!

The goal was to co-discover key issues such as:

  • Which professions and skills can withstand the expansion of Artificial Intelligence, and which cannot?
  • What are employers looking for today beyond technical knowledge?
  • How can we move with stability in an ever-changing environment?
  • What skills can’t AI replace?
  • What do all these changes mean for young people, and how do we prepare them?

The event was opened by Mr. Vlasis Korovilos, Expert in the Department of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Skills at Cedefop – the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training. See his presentation here.

Next, Ms. Despina Valasi, Dr. of Sociology and Researcher at the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen, and Merchants (GSEVEE), gave a speech entitled “Socio-emotional skills: how essential are they for the labor market in the era of Artificial Intelligence?” See her presentation here.

Then, Dr. , Deputy General Manager at ahedd Digital Innovation Hub S.A, gave us simple examples to form an understandable and realistic picture of the labor market. See her presentation here.

In closing, Anthi Sidiropoulou, Assistant Professor at the Department of Communication and Media Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), spoke to us on the subject of “Psychology of Communication,” with an emphasis on Cyberpsychology. See her presentation here.

The event was held with the support of the Hellenic Society for Artificial Intelligence and the Greek Network of Gender Equality and Antidiscrimination Committees in Research Centers.
