Faithful to its commitment to contribute to the strengthening of the social fabric and to stand firmly next to our fellow human beings, especially children, who are in need, the HERACLES Group, in collaboration with the organization Science For You (SciFY), moves forward with the aim of providing substantial support of children with disabilities and their equal participation in entertainment, education, and every aspect of life.

Defending every child’s right to play and the full development of their skills, the HERACLES Group undertakes the initiative of financing electronic games for children with disabilities, sponsored by the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs.

In particular, within the context of the Corporate Social Responsibility program “One more feat” the Group joins forces with SciFY to create and offer for free a specially designed electronic game for children with disabilities. The game will be developed in collaboration with renowned organizations and Special Schools (ELEPAP, K.A.S.P. Hatzipaterio, Social Welfare Center of the Attica Region, Agria Special School in Magnesia, etc.). The program’s goal is to entertain and help children with disabilities develop physically, socially, intellectually, and emotionally.

Mrs. Zetta Makri, Deputy Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, said in this regard: “The HERACLES Group and the Science For You organization for children with disabilities work together and give us an excellent example of raising awareness and activating corporate social responsibility in important issues, such as in the sensitive field of special education and the education of children with learning difficulties and disabilities. As Deputy Minister of Education responsible for special education, I commend this initiative – placed under the auspices of the Ministry of Education – which promotes the concepts of inclusion and digital accessibility and supports them with an electronic game aimed at children with disabilities. This digital application seals the mutual commitment to the equal participation of all children in every aspect of daily life, technology, and knowledge and consolidates the perspective to develop digital programs for entertainment, learning, and expression through expert scientific tools. After all, special education highlights playing as a means of entertainment, transmission of information, and assimilation of knowledge.”

And that lasted for years. Does it seem excessive? And yet, this is the reality for most children with disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, quadriplegia, etc. Their need for playing is great, and unfortunately left unsatisfied. Thanks to the support of the HERAKLES Group and our network of partners, we can finally create a game that will offer them joy, fun, and opportunities to develop their skills, always in collaboration with their caregivers.”
