The award-winning Non-Profit Organization Science For You – Science For You – SciFY is pleased to announce that the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, supports the initiative “1000 Pioneers for Artificial Intelligence in Greece”. Thanks to this support, dozens of people will be able to be trained in Artificial Intelligence by the end of the year and join a network of pioneers in which people from all professional categories participate.

The Ioannis S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation immediately responded to the call to support the project in a field that changes our daily lives. That of Artificial Intelligence. Eva Lianou, General Director of the Foundation, said: “The Foundation, investing in the development of digital and soft skills, decided to support SciFY’s pioneering effort, which aims to create a community of people who will be in a position to understand the challenges that Artificial Intelligence poses to all our lives, and respond to them in innovative ways that will create value.”

Vassilis Giannakopoulos, Marketing and Social Impact Manager of SciFY, emphasized: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) presents unique opportunities for businesses that want to innovate, but we should not focus only on that. It is changing all our lives, affecting everything from how we drive and shop to how scientific research is conducted. That is why we work with various social groups, co-designing with them training programs in AI and training the first Pioneers in Greece. We are very happy that the Ioannis S. Latsis Foundation is supporting the group of 1000 Pioneers. Thanks to this support, we have already analyzed the needs of workers and citizens, and are immediately proceeding with high-level training at only a symbolic cost.”

The project is implemented by the Non-Profit Organization Science For You – SciFY, in collaboration with the ahedd Digital Innovation Hub and with the support of the US Embassy in Athens and in collaboration with the Ioannis S. Latsis and in collaboration with the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation.
