A new digital platform is set to transform the way organizations and volunteers connect, collaborate, and create impact. The VolunTech Platform (https://platform.voluntechproject.eu/) officially launches, offering an innovative space where technology meets volunteering to create meaningful impact.

The VolunTech platform brings together motivated volunteers, NGOs and youth organisations. It offers digital and hybrid volunteering opportunities, along with training and practical tools that support real community impact.

The platform, built under the EU-funded VolunTech project (Erasmus+ KA220-YOU), lets organizations post specific digital volunteering opportunities and lets volunteers filter those opportunities by skill type and interest. It also includes training materials and a certification program so that volunteer work translates into recognized competencies.

Thus, VolunTECH:

• empowers volunteers, especially young people, to engage in meaningful, structured experiences that align with their skills, interests, and values.
• allows organizations to showcase their initiatives and connect with skilled volunteers, unlocking new possibilities for innovation and growth.

The project grew out of a concrete gap: many social-sector organizations in Europe need help with digital tasks (web development, data management, online outreach, social media) but lack the staff or budget to hire for them. At the same time, young people with those skills often can’t find structured, meaningful ways to volunteer remotely. VolunTech puts both sides on the same platform.

The platform is part of a broader vision to promote innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity within the volunteering ecosystem. By leveraging technology, VolunTech aims to make volunteering more accessible, more effective, and more impactful for everyone involved.

The VolunTech Platform is now live and open to organizations and volunteers across Europe.
