On Thursday, February 28th, the 28th SciFY Academy, titled “Digital Transformation”, took place at INNOVATHENS of Technopolis City of Athens. The main question the speakers were called to answer was, ‘How do I bring my business into today?’, with the audience participating with interesting and targeted questions.

First, Mr. Sergios Dimitriadis, a professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business, laid the foundations for our discussion, explaining what Digital Transformation is and giving advice on how to implement such systems in our own business. Mr. Dimitriadis approached the issue primarily from a business perspective. See his presentation here.

Then, Mr. Miltiadis Kalambokas, head of Big Data and Analytics at the National Bank of Greece, approached the issue from a technological perspective to provide the public with a comprehensive understanding of how Digital Transformation can work. More specifically, he provided us with examples of how Digital Transformation is implemented. In fact, he spoke about a program now being implemented by the National Bank. See his presentation here.

Finally, Mrs. Chryssa Kefala, Business Development Manager of Pobuca – Sieben, was the most suitable person to close the event, as, in addition to the practical advice she gave us on how to modernize our business, she also provided several examples of successful and unsuccessful Digital Transformation applications.
