On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 19:00, SciFY held the 43rd SciFY Academy at INNOVATHENS of Technopolis City of Athens (100 Piraeus Street, Gazi). It was the first event in the “Environment & Innovation” series, focusing on “Energy”.
Participation was free and open to all!
The goal was to co-discover:
- How innovation can bring positive results,
- What’s the role of technology, and what are its limits,
- What roles do man and society play.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about new technologies, practical tools, and methods for achieving sustainability.

Prof. Phoebe Kountouri, Professor at the Athens University of Economics and Business & the Technical University of Denmark, President of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE), President of the UN SDSN Global Climate Hub, and Co-Chair of SDSN Europe. Through this series of SciFY Academy initiative events (October 2023 – December 2023), SciFY aimed to create a platform for discussion by bringing together representatives from the IT sector, environmental organizations, and the general public. The purpose was to be informed and inspired about ways to achieve a more sustainable future!
