AI-assisted reporting and collaboration development platform
In collaboration with the Innovation Office of NCSR “Demokritos”, we created an AI-assisted platform that facilitates:
- the development of collaborations between researchers for the submission of financial and research proposals,
- the creation of reports that document the experience of the research center or institute in a field of research activity,
- the communication between researchers and institutes,
- the creation of cross-sectoral synergies, and
- the automatic and continuous updating of data from SCOPUS without administrative and financial costs.
Innovation Monitor provides easy and quick answers to questions/requests such as:
- How many scientific publications does our research center have in the field of X, and what are they?
- How many and which of our researchers are involved in a scientific field?
- Give me an analysis of the research fields per Institute/researcher, etc.
- How can I find a researcher working in the field of X so that we can submit a funding proposal/joint research proposal together?
- How many companies from the Technology Park are involved in the field I’m interested in, and which ones are they?

Research centers develop research activities in thousands of fields. It is very difficult for researchers working in this or an Innovation Office to be able to:
- Identify existing expertise in a particular field when preparing a funding proposal or research project.
- Strengthen a proposal with documentation of existing expertise in a field.
- Report more easily on the research center’s actions.
The need for connecting researchers, effective searching, and documentation is clear, but the appropriate tool did not exist.
