library > The ethical principles of Artificial Intelligence

On Friday, Fabruary 28th, the 33th SciFY Academy on “The ethical principles of Artificial Intelligence” took place.

In this seminar, we focused on the Ethical Principles of Artificial Intelligence and more specifically:

  • How did ethics return to the fore on the occasion of Artificial Intelligence?
  • How is ethics related to Artificial Intelligence?
  • Why did ethics become a requirement in Artificial Intelligence?
  • What is the institutional framework?
  • How can each of us contribute to this?

Initially, Dr. Eleni Rethymiotaki, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Law of EKPA and President of the National Bioethics Committee, laid the groundwork for our discussion, explaining the ethical principles of Artificial Intelligence, followed by Dr. Alkis Gounaris, Scientific Associate of the Department of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, who approached the issue from a more technological and practical point of view in order to have a comprehensive understanding of ethics in AI.
