On Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 19:30, SciFY held 52η SciFY Academy at Ιmpact Hub Athens (28 Karaiskaki, Athens). The first event of the “AI & PARENTING” series is on “AI & Education”.
Participation is free and open to everyone!
The goal was to co-discover key issues such as:
- How has Artificial Intelligence entered the daily lives of children and adolescents, from chatbots to schoolwork?
- Mental health and screens: what’s really going on?
- Rules, limits, and good practices: how do we navigate the digital environment correctly?
- How does AI affect the way children and adolescents think and behave?
- Practical tools and strategies for parents and teachers.
Initially, Dr. Dora Katsamori , Associate Researcher at the Institute of Informatics & Telecommunications of the NCSR “Demokritos” spoke to us about the challenges and prospects of children’s presence in the digital world. See her presentation here.
Then, Dr. , Principle Researcher, Head of Language & Robots Lab of the “Athena” Research Center and President of the Hellenic Society for Artificial Intelligence (HSAI), gave a speech entitled “Growing up with Artificial Intelligence: a challenge for all of us”. See her presentation here.
Next, Konstantinos Doulgeris, Clinical Psychologist and PhD Candidate in Clinical Psychology at Panteion University of Social & Political Sciences, spoke to us about Artificial Intelligence and mental health in education. See his presentation here.
The event was closed by Vassilis Giannakopoulos, Chief Marketing Officer of Science For You – SciFY, who spoke about homework in the age of AI. See his presentation here.
