AI transforms the future of Natural Sciences
SciFY, with the contribution of the Education Office of the country’s largest research center, NCSR “Demokritos”, prepares the next pioneers of Artificial Intelligence in the Natural Sciences.
- We are creating an online Artificial Intelligence (AI) course specially designed for Natural Science students, enriched with videos, exercises, and other training elements.
- We train 120 Natural Science students in AI.
- We create challenges/problems of Natural Sciences (Challenges) that are solved using AI, with the contribution of researchers from the Institutes of NCSR “Demokritos”.
- We support 50 of the training program’s graduates to solve the above Challenges using the AI knowledge they acquired. Through a two-day Hackathon and with the help of NCSR “Demokritos” researchers, the graduates will collaborate, network, and develop skills to solve the Challenges.
- We organize a presentation of the results and connect the students with the Research Institutes of NCSR “Demokritos”.

- Artificial Intelligence affects our lives, and its role is drastically increasing in science fields such as Natural Sciences.
- The changes brought about by AI in the Natural Sciences are so dramatic that students and young scientists cannot be unaware of the developments, as well as of how to utilize it in their research and daily practice.
- We give Natural Sciences students the opportunity to enrich their knowledge and increase their employability.
- We promote the creation of new synergies between research institutes, universities, and students to strengthen research and innovation in Greece.
