The EAI Corp Erasmus+ project presents its first results and prepares to launch free online AI training for SME managers and technical professionals across Europe.

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) transforms business operations, European SMEs face the challenge of adopting it effectively and responsibly.

The project EAI Corp addresses this challenge by equipping SME managers, decision-makers and technical professionals with practical knowledge, skills and resources for ethical AI adoption.

Bringing together seven organisations from five countries (Ireland, Spain, Malta, Greece and Slovenia), the project aims to make ethical AI more accessible to businesses across Europe.

First results: Identifying AI Skills Needs

Since the project began in November 2025, the partners have been working to identify SMEs’ AI training needs. To this end, various activities have been carried out, including an in-person workshop in Valencia, Spain (December 2025).A key achievement is the Competencies Profile for SME Managers, developed through a collaborative co-creation process involving representatives of the project’s target groups.

The profile identifies essential competencies for recognising AI opportunities, assessing risks and making informed decisions, providing the foundation for the project’s training programme.

Free Online AI Training: Ready for Piloting

Building on the Competencies Profile, EAI Corp has developed 20 short online learning modules, known as Training Pills, covering practical AI applications, ethics, data management and cybersecurity, inclusion, sustainability and responsible decision-making.

The programme will be free, online, and flexible, with opportunities to earn digital microcredentials through successful completion of assessments.

The training is now being prepared for external piloting, where SME managers and technical professionals will test the materials and contribute feedback before their finalisation.

Who Can Benefit from EAI Corp and How?

EAI Corp targets SME managers seeking to adopt AI responsibly, as well as technical professionals looking to strengthen their skills and support businesses in adopting AI. It also offers Chambers of Commerce, vocational education and training providers, business stakeholders and local communities opportunities to collaborate, access training resources and exchange knowledge. Upcoming activities include resources supporting technical professionals as AI ambassadors, national Q&A sessions, cross-border collaboration and a transnational Knowledge Exchange event in Athens, bringing together participants from across Europe to share experiences in responsible AI adoption.
